SPIDER SCREW
K1 -K2 -Z
Many features in a few square millimeters make the orthodontic head of K1 – K2 miniscrews a unique anchoring system (protected by international patent) with multiple advantages.
The only system with two heights of the transmucosal collar.
The bracket-shaped head makes the system extremely versatile for orthodontic treatments.
The two External Rectangular Slots (Fig. 1) allow the direct housing of orthodontic wires. The wide Internal Rectangular Slot (Fig. 2) ensures that connecting devices (elastic wires, chains, metal ligatures, etc.) do not detach from the miniscrews and, at the same time, do not slide against soft tissues, causing loss of anchorage.
The two Pass-through Round Slots (Fig. 2) have a funnel-shaped initial part to facilitate the insertion of wires, metal ligatures, hooks, etc.
The size of the Spider Screw head has been designed to ensure maximum patient comfort.
Spider Screw K1
Ø1,5 mm
Conical Thread (Self-tapping)
Available in lengths 6.5 – 8 – 10 mm.
Spider Screw K1 can be applied without the use of drills. The conical shape of its subosseous portion allows for insertion without the need for pre-drilling. Only where the cortical bone is very thick, it is advisable to make a pilot hole using a Ø 1.1 mm drill.
Available with two transmucosal collar heights: Long Neck, increased neck height (2 mm) for thick soft tissues (posterior and lateral sectors). Short Neck, standard neck height (1 mm) for thin tissues (anterior and lateral sectors).
Spider Screw K2
Ø1,9 mm
Conical Thread (Self-tapping)
Available in lengths 6 – 7 – 9 – 11 mm.
Spider Screw K2 can be applied without the use of drills. The conical shape of its subosseous portion allows for insertion without the need for pre-drilling. Only where the cortical bone is very thick, it is advisable to make a pilot hole using a Ø 1.3 mm drill.
Available with two transmucosal collar heights: Long Neck, increased neck height (2 mm) for thick soft tissues (posterior and lateral sectors). Short Neck, standard neck height (1 mm) for thin tissues (anterior and lateral sectors).
Spider Screw Zigomatica
Ø2,0 mm
Conical Thread (Self-tapping)
Available in lengths 6 – 8 – 10 mm.
Spider Screw Zigomatica is designed to be positioned in specific areas, such as the infrazygomatic crest and the buccal shelf. The head is rounded and free of rectangular slots to safeguard soft tissues. The groove between the head and the transmucosal part has been reduced to facilitate the use of elastic chains. It is advisable to drill a pilot hole before inserting the screw. Use a Ø 1.3 mm drill.
